Marketing
We are differentiated from other service providers in the higher education sector in four principal ways:
• Proprietary Field Organization
We have a large, proprietary field organization comprised of more than 50 executives who cover the continental U.S. These experienced and well-trained associates form affinity partnerships on behalf of our partner universities with corporations, professional organizations, public school districts, hospitals, healthcare systems, state and municipal organizations, law enforcement agencies, and branches of the military. Their success is critical to our recruitment strategies as they hold information sessions and webinars for prospective students, and work closely with human resource and education departments. This large and unique organization maintains face-to-face relationships with students and employers, and accounts for 60 percent of all qualified students who apply for admission in our partner institutions.
• Affinity Partnerships
We have supported the development of a not-for-profit consortium, the American University System (AUS), which forms partnerships between our partner universities and private-sector organizations who are committed to raising the educational attainment of their employee base. Combined, AUS’s affiliate partners have over nine million employees that are accessible to our public university partners. The employees of affinity partners often receive tuition discounts from partner universities. In some instances, customized courseware is created by faculty to address the specific needs of employers. Some partner universities conduct classes on the premises of affinity organizations. Often, their employees and management are used as coaches and mentors to students.
• International Marketing
We have established a unique international marketing network. Recruiting and information centers are currently operating across Latin America in Panama City, Panama; Bogota, Colombia; Salvador and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Cordoba and Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Santiago and Concepcion, Chile. Four new Latin American centers are scheduled to open within the next 9 months. Additional centers will soon be established in Hong Kong; Singapore; Bangalore, India; and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This physical presence in high growth emerging markets gives us the capability and reach to provide our partner institutions with the opportunity to participate globally in a competition for highly qualified students. These international enrollments serve as additional revenue streams for public universities.
• Digital Marketing
We have unique and advanced digital marketing capabilities. Over the last year we have moved away from the higher education’s industry dependence on email-based recruitment strategy and the use of lead aggregators to sophisticated, integrated marketing activities. We have expanded our Dallas-based team with additional assets in Palo Alto, California and New York City.
