In 2008, AP launched an RN-to-BSN program with the University of Texas at Arlington and increased its enrollment from 137 students to more than 4,000 in 20 months. The program continues to grow, and today is the largest nursing program at any state university in the U.S.
In approximately the same time period, AP increased enrollment from 226 to more than 4,100 students in two graduate education programs for Lamar University. Since these initial efforts, AP has helped leading universities across America achieve similar results with undergraduate and graduate enrollments.
AP attributes this success in program growth to close collaboration with faculty and administrative leadership and effective recruiting techniques that are designed to take universities’ degrees to scale. Additionally, AP’s retention strategies have resulted in graduation rates that consistently meet or exceed the performance of the same programs on campus. Similarly, students have passed licensure examinations in both education and health science programs at rates comparable to or better than on-campus students.
The enrollment growth AP has achieved for its partner institutions, both in numbers and percentage increases, has exceeded the accomplishments of other service companies in the higher education sector. The online students recruited by AP comprise as much as 30 percent of partner universities' total enrollment.
AP has retained 100 percent of its university partnerships.
