Academic Partnerships (AP) helps its partner universities increase access to higher education through technology and give their brands a global presence.
With online learning growing at more than nine times the rate of on-campus instruction, AP believes that its adoption has the power to change not only higher education, but also society at large. We are proud to partner with outstanding universities around the world that share this belief.
AP's know-how grew out of the experiences of its sister company, Whitney University System (Whitney). Whitney was founded in 2005 and has built the first Pan-Latin American distance learning network. Today, the network serves approximately 170,000 students of all socioeconomic classes in the region. The effort of making higher education accessible across the region's metropolitan and remote areas was made possible through Whitney's innovations in distance learning technologies and new methods of delivery.
The cutting-edge model pioneered in Latin America was piloted in the United States through AP in 2007 at two public universities in Texas. These efforts were highly successful and led to AP’s rapid development as a global online higher education service provider.
Today, AP’s teams in North America, Latin America, Europe, North Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia and Oceania serve universities in these vibrant markets, giving our company and the institutions we represent a truly global reach and perspective.
