Curriculum and Faculty Support

AP’s Curriculum Support Services assists faculty in converting their traditional, classroom-based courses into an effective, engaging and interactive online learning experience for students. AP’s curriculum service consultants have closely worked with over 600 public university faculty to convert well in excess of 1,000 unique courses into an online delivery format for domestic and international delivery of content and instruction.

AP’s curriculum support consultants have considerable experience and expertise in instructional course design, online course design, college-level teaching, communications, foreign language translation, proficiency in multiple learning management systems (LMS), and other web-based higher education learning practices.

The goal of all course design is that when students log on in the U.S. or in another continent, they feel they have returned to the campus for a stimulating learning experience that they look forward to each day. AP enables every professor to harness the power of the latest technologies to enhance the quality and effectiveness of each student’s learning experience, be they dozens or thousands.

Professors are able to utilize a number of online instructional options such as on-demand video lectures that can be viewed at any time (asynchronous); real-time lectures that occur at a fixed time (synchronous); interactive learning experiences for students that include social networking, chat rooms, discussion boards, case studies, collaborative projects, wikis, e-portfolios and podcasts. Frequently, professors feel that the planning process for course conversion supported by AP’s curriculum service consultants has resulted in a superior learning experience that cannot be replicated in a classroom.
