DALLAS – Academic Partnerships announced the appointment of Aaron Shockey to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective Monday, September 12, 2016.

"I'm excited to have Aaron join our senior leadership team as we set Academic Partnerships' strategic direction and company priorities for both the short and long term," said Chief Executive Officer Carl Sparks. "Aaron's experience with brand marketing, digital and online marketing will be highly relevant to our business, and I'm looking forward to his contributions."

Shockey comes to AP after having been Senior Vice President of Marketing for Saks Off 5th.com and Gilt.com for the last two years where he had been responsible for the marketing strategy for both brands as it relates to customer awareness, activation and retention. His experience also includes fifteen years of progressive leadership experience with The Neiman Marcus Group, imc2, Mary Kay, Inc. and Electronic Data Systems.

Shockey holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma.
