Howard Rouse

President, University Partnerships

Howard Rouse is President of University Partnerships at Academic Partnerships (AP). He leads a team dedicated to building and growing successful relationships with colleges and universities, with a focus on enabling student success.

A longtime AP leader, Howard previously served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, SVP of Finance, and Controller. Earlier in his career, he was CFO at the outdoor recreation company, Kalkomey. He also worked in finance and accounting roles for Zix Corporation, Nortel Networks, and Ernst & Young.

Howard loves seeing how AP’s work with university partners leads to greater access to high-quality, affordable, workforce relevant education and the positive impact it has on people’s lives.

Howard holds a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University. In his spare time, he prefers to be outdoors, canoeing, hiking, camping, and backpacking. Howard resides in Texas but spends each summer on the shores of Lake Huron in Michigan.

Which AP culture pillar resonates most with you and why?

Driven. I feel better and I sleep better at night when I feel that I have accomplished something during the day. By driving for results we can deepen and accelerate the impact we have on universities and students.
