The Chronicle of Higher Education recently released an infographic, Regional Public Universities: Navigating Challenges, highlighting the ways regional public universities are overcoming some of the most critical challenges they face. The infographic is a snapshot of information gleaned from a Chronicle survey, conducted with support from Academic Partnerships, of more than 400 administrators at regional public universities across the country in October 2023.
Despite funding and employee morale challenges, administrators expressed confidence for the future, with the top three opportunities for growth seen as expanding online programs, expanding graduate programs and expanding workforce preparation and technical programs, all considered strengths of regional publics.
